I am trying to find out about my grandmother Rose Curtis born about 1892, she married Alfred Lilley in 1922 and lived in Hoo in Kent,then moved to Layer Marney,nr Colchester Essex. She was born in Leigh, Wiltshire and her parents were Mark and Caroline Curtis. Any info received I will be very grateful

Hi Jane. i have the curtis familly from Leigh nr Cricklade in Wilts they are on my mothers side, i`m afraid i dont have much info on thats side as yet. My grandmother was Dorothy Curtis b. 1909? married Joseph Yates, the curtis`s were quite a lrg familly. my grandfather was Alfred Curtis b.1867. if this is of any help. if not good luck with your search.

the marriage of Mark CURTIS to Caroline GREY was registered at Cricklade in Dec quarter of 1875

this is Rose with widowed Mark in 1901 at Cricklade Rd and there is an Eli CURTIS age 37 and family next door ...might be his brother?
