I am trying to find relatives of my mother Winifred Cummings whose parents were George and Catherine Cummings (neeCameron). My mother was born in Stockport Cheshire in 1916 or 1918 and she had a number of siblings.

Hi Eileen.I am not connected but had a look for you and found some info for you.

Winifred born 1916. Jan/March Qtr. reg in Stockport. vol 8a 160. Mothers maiden name Cameron. Copy of this will give their address at the time.

Marriage of George Cummings to Catherine Cameron. 1900 April/June Qtr. reg in Stockport. vol 8a 165.
Copy of this certificate is necessary as it will give their ages, their Father's names and occupations and witnesses who may be siblings.

I have also found birth of a Nora. 1915. Jan/March Qtr. reg Stockport. vol 8a 175.Mother Cameron

Two other births with Mothers maiden name Cameron show as being reg in Gravesend. for a Leslie V and Arthur WQ D.
Most likely no connection but the names are the same.

I have looked on the 1901 census but cannot find them at the moment so the Father's names and George and Catherine's ages are very important.

Births before 1912 do not have the Mothers maiden name on the index so their are most likely several more births between 1900 and 1912.
