George Corbett married to Margaret Hastings

I'm trying to find anything about George Corbett b. 1825 in Co Galway Ireland and moved to Edinburgh.

His parents were Peter Corbett and Mary Malley.

I'd be ever so pleased to hear from anyone who can hellp. As I've come to a brick wall in my research.

There is a George Corbett aged 54 on the 1881 Census for Edinburgh, but he is a widower, so no way of knowing if this is your George. However, he has a daughter-in-law Bridget (22) and a son Patrick(16) resident with him at 10 Scotts Close, Cowgate, Edinburgh. Hope this is of help,

His parents were GEORGE CORBETT & MARY JANE NELSON. He married Margaret Hastings c 1847 in Edinburgh

Margaret appears to have died Cal 1881. Perhaps California or Calgary? She was born 4 Sept,
Old Deer, Adberdeen. Her parents were Alexander Hastings & Susan Johnstone
