To Stephen Doe. My Cooper family have strong romany connections, which means i am stuck at my great grandfather, maybe we have connections? He was born in a hop field in Paddock wood 1888 and named William Diamond Cooper. His mother was reputed to be a witch and was shunned by most of the family, flower seller by trade died 1925 first and maiden name unknown. His father was a horseman, served in the 6th Dragoons, regularly attended horse salesin Elephant and Castle, regular at Epsom races may have been bare knuckle fighter. First name unknown Died possibly 1941 at st Stephens Hospital. it is these names i need. |
