I need expert help again Please,
Charlotte Cook Married George isaac Gregory, 9/8/1919. Her widowed name was Hawes.
I cannot find her first marraige or the death of ...?... Hawes.
Charlotte was aged 41 when she married George Gregory and her fathers name was Albert Cook all Possibly, Lowestoft, Suffolk.
I have Charlotte & George's marraige cert.

Were there any children from her first marriage and what was her fathers occupation?

I found a Charlotte J. Cook on 1901census listed as servant age 25 born Lowestoft, for James family in Frinton on Sea. Her Father's occupation on marraige cert is down as Labourer, he was deceased.

I cant find a likely marriage at all,nor at the moment am I finding a Charlotte Cook/e on 1881 with father Albert to try and track her forwards.
Were there any children from her first marriage?

That Charlotte J was I think Charlotte Johnson Cook born 1876 in 1911 she is still unmarried and a servant.

The first 1911 entry is not her for sure ,I saw that and checked it out by cross ref on marriages earlier.

No, witnesses were a Mr B.Thomas & Lucy Thomas.

Hawes may have been her 2nd marriage and Gregory her 3rd.

It is driving me insane this one !! lol Whichever way you search nothing seems to add up, for instance the "father" Albert Cook..........nothing jumping out on census.........searching all deaths up to 1919....nothing at all that I can see in Suffolk that could be him??

Michael..........just to add to your impending headache, both my maternal nan and paternal grandfather had made up fathers names!!

I also have a name for father on my grandmothers marriage that is not his.
His christian names that she gives are his ,but she then gave him her birth surname instead of his own so that she could cover the fact that she was illegit and her parents wernt married but lived in sin as they were both married "elsewhere"..
