Find Ancestors

I'm hoping someone can help me.
I'm trying to find information on Samuel Commander (26/01/1782 - 25/11/1857). I believe he married Mary Chester (possibly Robinson) (c1782 - d. 22/10/1838).
It is my understanding that they had the following children: Mary, Emma (d 1868), Samuel Chester (d 10/11/1892), Chester, George (married Sarah Elizabeth Barnes 05/09/1844 Toronto), Elizabeth, Charles (married...), Joseph Robinson (was a Freeman of the City of London) who married Louisa Storey on 19/07/1845 (I believe).
I believe the Commanders came from London but that's about it. If you can help me I would most appreciative.

I think that Matilda told a wee fib in 1851 saying she was "Smith" widowed, because by 1861 she and her son are now "Commander" and she is stated as unmarried and living with her brother Samuel
