I am trying to find any information about Joseph Coker. I am not sure, but he may have been born in 1841 and married someone called Elizabeth (surname unknown). They had any children, one of whom was called Amelia Coker born on 21/11/1878, married a George Walker in 1899 and died in 1950. I cannot seem to find any information on Joseph, although he may have been called William or Joseph William. His father was also called Jospeh and his mother called Sarah Roots. |

I have traced Sarah Roots dying in 1868 and Joseph Coker possibly marrying a Mary Ann Knight in 1876. Will keep looking! |

But how did you get to her? If you got to her throgh one of your ancestors, found her husband and want to trace down then that is one lot of info. |

Went on ancestry.com and freeBMD George and Amelia Coker were my husbands grandparents and have birth certs etc, but Joseph Senior we are having trouble with. Think they keep changing their names as Amelia (apparently) was known as Maggie! Unfortunately my father-in-law died last year so cannot ask him any more. |

I have just found this record. Do you think I am on the right trail, or not? Think there may be a mistake with his birth year.? |
