I am trying to find Leslie Cockayne, but I dont know the date of birth! I have managed to find out what year he was married, if anyone has any other information or a way that I can find out his date of birth to start with - please contact me. Many thanks |

Go to www.gro.gov.uk, click on 'ordering certificates online' in the shortcuts box at the bottom of the page. Then click on 'order a certificate online now'. You'll have to register with an email address and password. Once registered, fill in the form ( use reference above, which is the GRO index number - Volume 9c page 517) second quarter 1944 etc. You'll need a debit/credit card and the certificate will cost £7. Make sure you click on the 'yes' box to say that the General Register Office index is known, or you'll be charged more. |
