Hi there,

I have the death certs of the family I'm looking for but are trying to locate where they would have been buried. They lived in Pleasant View,Tirphil (not sure whether that would have been classed as Glamorganshire back then). I know Tirphil is near New Tredegar but am stuck as o where they may have been buried.
They died in 1903, 1904, 1905 and 1916
Would anyone out there be able to point me in the right direction please.
Thankyou.
Kath

Hi Kathryn...I can say that you may need Bedwellty Vicarage and the old churchyard.Apparently the records might be with the Vicar.
I was there the other day and met someone who told me this.Unfortunately.I had to get back home.
There are two other churchyards on the otherside of the road near to the Vicarage where you may find relations too.
You will go via Blackwood or Markham then take the road to Aberbargoed over the mountain.... the former road passes between the churchyards while you will need to take left turn above Markham to go to the top of the mountain........regards ...Carleton.

Hi there. Dont know if you made any progress on your queries.I have only just come across them. Tirphil was originally in the hamlet of Brithdir and anyone who died in the area was more than likely buried in St Cattwgs, Gelligaer. Regards. Bill
