Find Ancestors

STANLEY STEEL CHAPMAN I have an interest in finding the family of SAMUEL STEEL CHAPMAN born in 1876 and ELIZABETH BERTHA FRY also born in 1876. They were married in 1896 in Camberwell. According to their marriage certificate, Samuel's father was also called Samuel Steel Chapman. I am in possession of their marriage certificate and the name is definitely STEEL. His father's name was also SAMUEL STEEL CHAPMAN. They are known to have had at least seven children, some of whom were Alice, born approx 1900, Stanley, born about 1902, Gladys, born about 1907 and Elsie born 1909. (I have a picture of them at around 1920) There may have been a son born between 1896 and 1900 as my father remembered a young man being on leave from the front when he visited them during WWl. The younger Stanley CHAPMAN married someone named Connie and they had a son Adrian born in 1944. I am having some difficulty tracking them down in the 1901 census but think that I may have found them living in Camberwell with two children Minnie aged 4 and Horace, aged 1 both born in Peckham. (The others listed above presumably not yet born! I am hoping that someone may recognise this family. Elizabeth Fry is the only one of my grandfather's eight siblings that I cannot account for.
