Hi, I am trying to trace my CHAPMAN/BARBER family from the BRISTOL/ SOMERSET area and wondered if anyone recognises the following names? ELIZABETH CHAPMAN born 11/02/1882 married WILLIAM IRESON BARBER born approx 1882 in BRUTON, Somerset nr Castle Cary. Children: William Albert John (married ELSIE MAY WILLIAMS), Frederick Henry( married WINIFRED HARSE and Herbert (my Grandad)(married HILDA PARKER). Trying to follow the BARBER family from here. WILLIAM CHAPMAN (born around 1816) who married HANNAH DAVIS (born 1820) in 1837. Their children were: WILLIAM 1837, GEORGE 1842, FREDERICK HENRY 1855( A river boat pilot on the Bristol Channel, married ELIZABETH REES), JOHN 1838 and AMELIA 1847. LEWIS REES who married ELIZABETH ? ...maybe JAMES. They were the parents of ELIZABETH REES above. Any help or information would be grateful. SUE |
