Trying to find a definite link/details of marriage of Henry Charles CHAPMAN to a Kate BROCK. I've posted messages under 'trying to find' on both these. I have some potential matches on the 1901 census, but this shows both as being in Bristol, and originating from same. This conflicts with earlier family I have which shows that the BROCKS definitely came from Nempnett in Somerset (I have more information on Kate to substantiate this). However, what is adding to the confusion is that there are a CHAPMAN family also living in Nempnett in 1901 - so what I'm looking for is the right Henry! I know my grandfather was born in September 1902, so I have the added mysteries - My family believed my Grandfather to have been born in London. As far as we know he worked his father's milk round (horse and cart delivery) and would have been in London in 1911 (which was when my G'mother first set eyes on him!) It's not clear whether Kate and Henry were married at the time of birth - currently waiting on family to find relevant birth certificate (if still kept!)

Hi Melany, Happy new year well as you may remeber my Auntie Kate, the sister of 12 other siblings from father [John Henry Brock]aGreat deal of the Brock family fron Nempnett moved to Swansea -Wales. I recall Kate Brock and I recognise her picture well !
[The one pic that you have there], Once in while Kate would come to Swansea from London to visit my Grandmother Emily, also Violet and Gertrude Brock and Nellie whjo was a blind pianist for church halls etc; At present I am in touch with a lady who is trying to get into the Brock side all this year and last year. If she can help with the [Chapman] side, I will let you know Melany.. ho yes, and 3 names were accidentely sent through the census forms as BROOK instead of Brock] best of all good wishes to you, and I will try to help s a poss, if if i can. Diane.
