Married between July and September 1902, does anyone know what happened to them after that? Did they have any children? No trace in 1911 census. Only possibility is that they emigrated. |

You should check them on the 1911 census to see if had any children by then After 1911 the birth records show the mmn so you can check with their surname combination |

Hi my Father in law's mother, Gladys Beatrice Chapman, was born to William Henry and Rose Elizabeth in London on 24 October 1905. As far as I know there was two other siblings Evelyn and Cecil. I am also unable to find other details. William Chapman died on 1 July 1918 in the Chilwell Munitions explosion in Nottingham, but I can find no official record. On Gladys's birth certificate Wiliam is listed as a Licensed Victualler and anecdotal evidence exisits that he used to be associated with the Magpie and Stump in London near the old Bailey. Any further info would be appreciated. |

I have found this, putting here as it vaguely matches with above findings, though wrong reg. district for birth compared with 1911 - if that is her of course! |

Just to re-cap - do we think a birth cert is needed here really? To establish who Rose is. It does seem there are 2 similar families doesn't it? |
