there are 12 albert chapmans in the index but i dont know where he was born, ive sent for two certificates so far and not the right person. i have his date of birth and his fathers name and his fathers occupation, i have just sent for another one, i have been checking the 1901 census to see if his fathers name comes up anywhere near one of the 12 birth places on the births index list. it is quite time consuming, do you have any advice on any short cuts. thanks lisa |

thanks for help, but i think you are right about waiting for the 1911 census, also according to my dad he lied about his age to get into the army in ww1, so he could have lied about anything, so may be a fruitless search. thanks anyway lisa |
