has anyone got any parish records for bedfordshire luton .Trying to find information,parentage on william champkin. married mary cooper 1814 at st marys church luton.i beleive he had 7 children william champkin born 1833 luton,elizabeth c1820 priscilla? c1830,hannah c1831 mary c1830 lydia b1835 and james c1816. can anybody help ... is there anywhere i can find who witnesses were of marriage .william died in 1838/39 still cant find any news on parentage ,where he is buried can anybody help

Hi Kirsty

If you are local to Bedfordshire you can find transcribed copies of the Parish Registers in any Library. If not I can look them up for you as I live in Bedfordshire. The children should be registered under the Statutory Register for Births after 1815. Luton Central library has the cemetary records for Luton.

My Mothers maiden name was Champkin but her family came from Dunstable.
