Raymond

Who is your mother please? If you are 87 years old then Catherine would have been 52 years old when you were born. Was she your grandmother?

EDIT

Just noted that the heading to your thread is Grandmother. So presumable your parent was one of her children. If you tell us your mother's name then we may be able to help you find her birth certificate and marriage certificate(s).

Received this from Raymond

Cathy
Thank you so much for your info I am new to all of this and at my age of 87 using the computer takes me some time to respond.
However you are spot on with your information, all my relatives lived in little or great crosby or as it was known the hamlett of crosby/hightown.
My ultimate aim is to get my mothers birth and masrriage certificates.
