I am trying to trace the relatives of two of my great uncles, Herbert Thomas Carter born 1886 in Chippenham Wiltshire the eldest son of Herbert Moore Carter and his wife Mary Lucy (nee Coles) and his brother Edgar Falconer Carter born 1894 in Peterhead Scotland. The family moved from Chippenham to Peterhead about 1890 and Edgar and his youngest sister Ruth (born 1894) were born there. They lived in the Old School House and then at Cairnfield Cottage both in Peterhead. The family eventualy moved to Bath Somerset sometime after 1901.
I have no knowledge of Herbert Carter or if he had a family any information about him or any of his family would be appreciated.
Edgar Carter I believe married twice and may have an adopted son or step-son from his second marriage possibly called Ronald and lived in Yorkshire. Again any details would be appreciated.
Ruth Carter married a man called Horsecroft and was the licensee of the Lifeboat public house in Hayling Island for many years before living in Sussex. Her daughter Gladys was last heard of in Polegate Sussex but I have no details of Gladys's children her son Martin and a daughter. Again any details would be welcome.
