I,m trying to find ancestors of THOMAS CARR born in 1880,PROBABLY in Whitehaven,Cumbria-would of been Cumberland then.He MAY of been named JOHN THOMAS CARR at birth.I,m unable to find his birth-although this could be entered under John Thomas in 1880.I do not know his parents names but THINK his father was also called Thomas.Any census info from 1891 & 1901 would be appreciated.I have a John Thomas in 1881 at:3,Quay Steps,Whitehaven with his parents & siblings. This COULD possibly be him.He later moved to Barrow-in-Furness,Cumbria-would of been Lancashire then,& in 1911 married my ggrandmother-Maggie Gill. They had numerous children, one of which was my grandmother Margaret Sarah Carr.I am desperate to trace,in particular, his parents,as my tree stops at 1880 & I can,t get further back.I would also like ANY info on his siblings as I have none.I do know there are LOADS of Carr family in Whitehaven area still & also in Barrow-in-Furness.ANY help would be much appreciated.Thank you,Paul. |
