Does anyone have any information on Carr family from Gateshead, Co.Durham.... Mother, Elizabeth... Children Joseph, Jack, Jim, Sid, Margaret & Lillian, Born circa, 1913 onwards.Joseph, Married Catherine Illingworth, and had 4 daughters, Annette, Margaret, Joan & Catherine...would love to hear from anyone who may have information...Thanks

Backwards if possible... trying to find Joseph's parents, but have no dates to go on for them, apart from names

The most obvious thing is to get his marriage cert. to findout his age plus father's details. Otherwise you can look for the children's births on Freebmd and see if a common maternal surname shows up.

my mate tony carr was born there.
his dad and grandad worked in the mines.
his parents are still alive.
he is decendant i think swedish/russian however when i see him soon i txt you more info to you.
his dad i think has written a book, and he is an artist in that area.
keep looking, i really feel it is the same family, as the surname is unusual.

I am Pretty sure hisdads namewas William Carr, and his Mum was Elizabeth...his father died when he was small .. i never knew either of my grandparents
