I am trying to find any information about my gg-grandfather Thomas Carden, born circa 1840 in Ireland, exact location not known. He had at least one son, Anthony Carden born abt 1868, in Ireland and moved to England as a young man and settled in the Hartlepool area. Any clues, or suggestions for further research would be greatly appreciated. Brendan Carden.

Hi Brendan,
My name is Barbara and my G/Grandmother was a Carden, I only started to search my family history about 12 months ago and I have had some fantastic information given to me about the Carden family history. This history of this family goes back many many years and it is believed that the Cardens mostly started off in the Cheshire area of the UK, then they went over to Ireland, I have much information which I will look up and I am sure that somewhere in my information I will find your gg/Grandfather. if you can give me a little while to get this information out I will of course get right back to you, For you information on the family of Cardens, which go all over the world, they get to gether every 10 years for a gathering, so if your interested in any more information about the history and I think you will without doubt find it very interesting. let me know and I will tell you eveything I know. look forward to hearing from you soon.

Barbara.
