I have been trying to trace my grandfather and find out as much as I can about him and his family.
My grandfather was born Peter Campbell on the 20th of June 1864 at 83 Princess Street Helensburgh. His parents were John Campbell and Sarah McAuslan. Peter Campbell married a lady called Christina Penman on the 28th of January 1892 I fond them in the 1901 census in Coatbridge I can find no children to this marriage. Christina died in 1917 in Falkirk a William Fleming signed her death certificate no sign of my grandfather. Peter then married my grandmother Ann MacKay on the 20th of August 1918 she died in childbirth the same year.My grandfather died in Helensburgh 1943. I found by accident a birth and death certificate of a child to Christina Penman and William Fleming (who was a married man) which said was married to Peter Campbell who was killed in South Africa 7th of August 1904. I have tried the archives to get more info but I keep drawing a blank. I am also trying to locate my grandfathers brother Humphrey McAuslan Campbell I can only trace him to the age of 13yrs he was born in 1867.
Can any one help please.
