Searching for all CAIRD relatives, originating in the Arbroath and St Vigeans areas. Later on in the 18th and 19th centuries branches of the family moved to the Forfar and Kirriemuir areas. Many also emigrated at the turn of the last century. I am keen to locate all the "missing persons" from my tree and their descendants. If you think we may be related please get in touch.

Hi there - I have a little info for you:

My Granny was Grace Caird who married Albert Spence, they had three children twins Jimmy and Sandy and a daughter Jean. Albert had a sister called Ethel who married Grace's brother Tom Caird. I remember a string of Aunts and Uncles, but the one I remember most was Forbes Caird who was a chemist. Cairds owned a series of department stores in places like Dundee, Inverness and Perth. Hope this helps. Likewise if you have any interesting information for me, then please pass it through. Many thanks.
Jane Forde (nee Spence)
