im looking for relatives or anyone that has names from my dads side of the family. my dads grandfathers name is john caird of 1868 he has a wife called clara shone of 1872. if these names sound familier please contact me as this is the furtherst relatives i have of the caird side of my tree. |

Hi there - I have a little info that may help. My Granny's name was Grace Caird who married Albert Spence. They had three children: twins Jimmy (my father) and Sandy and a daughter Jean. Albert had a sister called Ethel who married Grace's brother Tom Caird. I remember a string of aunts and uncles, but the one I remember most was Forbes Caird who was a chemist. Cairds owned department stores in places like Dundee, Perth and Inverness. If you can enlighten me further into the Caird history I would be delighted to receive the information. |
