Hello, I am researching the Buddingtons who originate in the Thanet region of Kent. I have links as far back as my great great grandfather John Buddington (1811-1887) but there are also some unlinked people such as Richard Buddington who obtained an ale licence for the 'Fflower de Luce' in Minster in 1740. If anyone can help to fill in the missing pieces or wants to know more about what I have found out please contact me through the site. Suzanne Hearn (nee Dowell)

Hi Suzanne: I have a great grandmother orig.called Ellen Buddington (b. 1844, Margate, Kent) who married John Sayer. Their daughter, my grandmother, who finally lived in Shoeburyness was Ellen. If there is a connection, I would be very interested to know more about Ellen and her family and any other links. I have a picture of the above. Regards Ian
