My Grandmother told us her mother died shortly after she was born, her sister told a different story (both are dead now)
How can i find out the truth ?
Catherine Walsh known as Kate married Patrick Buckley 8th July 1894 in the chapel of Claremorris, County Mayo.
My Grandmother Julia Mary born July between 1908 and 1910 (she knocked a few years off her age) How would i find out if Kate did die after giving birth ?

have you found them on the 1911 census of Ireland, its free here.

www.census.nationalarchives.ie

Do you have a birth year and occupation for Patrick as there are a few Julias with father Patrick.
Or know where Julia was born?
What was her sisters name and was she born before 1911?

It does not say how long he has been married, just that he is married.
It also doesnt say how many children born and still alive in 1911 at the time of the census.
