I'd be really grateful for any information regarding my Grandfather, George Henry Brown (birth surname was Clare-Born 1.3.1898)He was a Merchant Seaman but his trade was in painting & decorating. He married,aged 33,my Grandmother, Violet May Isles, aged 22,on 24/9/1931. They had four children. George Henry,(b. 13.12.1932 in Poplar,London), Christine Jane Freda,(b.15.1.1937 in Bow,London),Thelma Elizabeth (b. 22.9.1939 in Dagenham,Barking)James,(b.14.10.1940. Many thanks Mandy
