Gladys, Dorothy, Leslie and Thomas were my grandad's siblings. There was also a William, John and Arthur. The Hind on the documents is a reference to their mother's maiden name. Interestingly, Thomas wasn't a full Shorrocks, he was the result of an affair his mother had while his Dad was away fighting in the war, |

This information is very relevant. My aunt does say that her great gran or gran remarried to a chap whose name was surname was Guy and I beleive thay lived in Calverton, Notts. This all is great, thank you all very much. |

I've also looked at free DMB and it appears the surname we are looking at is after all Hind, not Brown |

Sorry don't have dates as yet but after a bit of research it appears that her name was actually Hind not Brown, she had 11 children, 5 sets of twins and a single birth, only one twin and the single birth survived. The survivng twin was my great grandmother! |

Do you have an approximate year and location for her birth/marriages? |

I'm trying to find information on my Great Grandmother, Sarah Ann(e) Brown(e), She and her twin sister where the only survivors of 17 children, all the others died in infancy, at birth or where stillborn. She married William Shorrocks from the Manchester area and when he died she went on to marry a man whose surname was Guy, first name possibly Edward. I have a photo of Edward and adding some more info would be great. |
