Attempting to trace the birth place and date of William John Brooker c1852 to 25/10/1880 who married Emma Wallace, Croydon1876 ,reached a dead end on this matter. We know thro' family connexions he died aged 28 years at home, Fir Street, Wells Road, Sydenham S E London with his wife present. Can anybody please point me in the right direction to research this or give assistance, for unable to find his birth or that of his father also William John Brooker c1825. Also when William c1852 died would be interested to know whether he was buried or cremated ,do any records exist to tell me which?
Regards Ann

Have you found them in any censuses?
What professions were they on the marriage certificate?
Thanks

Just thought that various family members around 1880 to 1910 used their second names therefore you could be right - this caused a problem in finding my Father's relations

Could this be him in 1871? It seems strange as both brothers are called William. They were both born in Dorking

Dorking doesn't appear right as I was believe most of the famliy came from Stratford ,West Ham, Penge,Anerley and Croydon areas but could be wrong

Why do you think William senior was born about 1825 - is this just a guess?
Thanks

Unlikely to have been cremated:
'it might come as a shock to learn that the first crematorium in England didn't open until 1885 (it was in Woking).'
