ENGLISH/AUSTRALIAN BLYTHE,BLYTH,BLIGH :Thomas.

Thomas arrived in Tasmania, Australia on the 12th August,1833, having departed from Sheerness (Kent). He arrived on the convict ship the "Emperor Alexander".

He married Sarah Bartlett on 9th September,1844 in Tasmania. He was 33 yrs old and she was 24.

Sarah Bartlett also arrived on an all female convict ship,"Navarino", which departed from London in October,1840 and arrived in Hobart on the 17th January,1841.

They had children named Elizabeth,Charles,Jane,John,twins-a boy and girl who died shortly after birth, (unnamed),then Thomas and Charlotte.

Surnames now include : JENSEN, DOUGLAS, BROWN, HALL, STUBBS, WINPENNY, WATTS, ROCK, BRADDOCK, STONE, LAMACRAFT, and many others.

Very interesting and exciting too. Still looking for UK relatives of Thomas Blythe and Sarah Bartlett - anyone heard of skeletons in the cupboard? Would love to confirm.

Have discovered Thomas was convicted in WARWICK, UK. I don't know where that is.
