I am trying to trace my great grandmother Annie Blake, born approximately 1858 in Flemington, Victoria, Australia and died 27.4.1947 in Numerkah, Victoria.

Annie's parents are believed to be Henry Blake b. c1813 London and Martha Lever b. c1819 Birminghm. Henry was possibly a convict who arrived on the Camden in 1831. They married in 1842 at St James, Melbourne. Annie had 4 brothers, John 1843, Charles 1845, William bet. 1851 & 1857, Thomas 1859 and a sister Mary c1850 married name Price.

The only details we had were from her daughter, Frances Louisa's birth registration, born 1/12/1880 at Hothem, county of Bourke. On my grandmother's birth registration, Annie has not listed the father of Frances Louisa. She has listed her occupation as Domestic Servent, age 25 & born Flemington. At time of registration Annie has listed Yarraville as place of residence.

We have since found that she married Alfred Jonson (from Norway) in 1886 and he died in Mulwala in 1890. They had three children, Thomas Alfred, Christina Maud and Alfred George.

In 1894 she then married Henry Charles Hall, who died in 1900.

We have been unable to find out if Annie ever married a man called Michael Berry, who Gran said was her father. Her other 2 marriage registrations indicate that they never married.

My grandmother, Frances Louisa, married Robert John Fenton and they lived in the Yarraville / Footscray area up until the 1950's.

If anyone has any clues regarding Annie's parents or Michael it would be greatly appreciated.
