Janice, the 1881 census is wrong as to Joseph's place of birth. it was Bangalore, India. His father was on military service in the 15th Hussars.he took his wife with him to india as it was a lengthy tour of duty. |

Thank you peeps for yor response. I have Elizabeth as being born in Churston Ferrers, Devon, but there may be some doubt about that. Her sister Jane (Joseph's first wife who died in childbrth) was born in Churston Ferrers but it is possible that Elizabeth was born in Lambeth. Conflictinfg info here. I will try the Address your gave me Eric. Thanks for that. |

I am trying to tind the date of death of Elizabeth Blaber nee Head. Elizabeth was married to Joseph Blaber who died in 1894 leaving her with a number of children including my mother Lily aged 1. The 1901 census has Elizabeth livng with her children at Queens Buildings, Scovell Road, Southwark, London. I have tried L.D.S.,I.G.I. andFfamily Search with no luck. Is there a kind person out there who can please tell me what steps I should take next. or even find it for me. Any info would be gratefully received. |
