Find Ancestors

Could anybody please help with my brick wall Wilhelm Behn was born in Germany which part i am unsure of possible Prussia Germany Approx 1850 He married a Emma Deller on 02/12/1871 in Royson when he was 22 years old it was also stated as father unknown on his marriage cert so i assume Behn was his mothers name. He was classed a British Subject on the 1891 census so again i presume his parents or mother was English?.

I cant seem to find him on any passanger list's comming to this country before 1871.or the census before 1891 I have contacted other people who have William,Wilhom,Wilhelm on their tree (as their is various spellings of his name) and they also can't seem to find no information regarding how and when he got here.

Wilhem died 03/04/ 1931 Aged 80 but i would just like to know a bit more of information on when he arrived in England

You have me thinking he should have been a Tailor and they was only married on 02/12/1871 where he was 22 and emma was 18 and the census was in April and i dont have a Fred as any of their siblins so im not sure these are them but you never know

That does seem like him it is really funny because i cant seem to find any such place with the name Becker, but it does keep on croping up, and he and emma did live in Bassinbourne when they married which did later become Royston.

Im not sure if that is him but i could be wrong as per his marriage certificate he was 22 in 1871 so he would have even been born in 1849/1850 and it also states as father unknown and as far as i know he didnot have a middle name. But to be honest with you anything is possible :)

Yes that is my man I would just love to know when he did come to this country and who was his mum ( as marriage cert says father unknown)
