Find Ancestors

I am trying to find my husband's ancestors and have got as far as his great great grandfather, James Allen William Beck b 1831 in High Wyecombe and who married Rachel Abram. I cannot find any trace of his father - his mother I think is Ann. Is there anyone out there who can help me find out who his father was?

There is a record on Free BMD of a William Beck who
died in Wycombe district Q1 1838 ref 6 352 which makes you think it the same one as on the 1841 census only Ann and the children are recorded
