Trying to find Bates

Henry Francis Bates HF Bates was born 1848, in Brompton, Middx. He married twice and lived much of his life in Surrey and Prittlewell, Southend. His first wife, was Susan Eagles, whom HF Bates married in 1872. I know nothing about her. She died in 1888. HF Bates married again to Elizabeth Smith, who had two children, Claude and Frank. Claude was my grandfather but who was Frank? One of H F Bates' sons (with Susan Eagles) was called Henry Douglas Bates and he had 10 children, with wife Lillian. Who were Henry and Lillian and who were their family? We would like to hear from any descendents of Henry Francis Bates or his children, who could fill in the gaps for us. If you can help with any of this info I would be so glad as there are so many Bates! Be nice to know where distant cousins now are, in this small world. |
