Find Ancestors

All I have is Kate Basford paper maker, widow ,aged 64 in the 1901 Census with a daughter also Kate Basford thimble maker aged 20 in Birmingham in the 1901 census.

The older Kate died aged 75 in Bham 1956 .

Younger Kate married Edward Alfred Wall ( born 1878/1877 Bham)
Has anybody got them in their tree or can help further please?

There seems to be some confusion over the birth place of Mary and William. Here Mary is from London but in 1881 census it is William that is noted as being from London?

However, it all seems to fit, but, why does Mary call herself Kate in 1901 census??

If you have Kate (daughter's) marriage certificate, then this should give her fathers name, even if he was deceased.
Can you confirm that her father's name was William?

We don't have it. We have a wonderful photo album of Kate's full of family photos but not a single name or date amongst them. . However, your diligent research now shows all those borthers and sisiters we had never heard of and that would probably explain one or two of te photos of young men in Army uniform on horse back etc.
