Looking for a possible Barton twin

Hi all.
I recently got my mums birth certificate. She was born Lynne Barton, mother Dorothy Barton, in Halifax on 27th June 1954. The birth was registered on 15th July 1954.

There is a possibility that two children were born that day to Dorothy Barton. Is there any way someone could check the birth records for me and see if there was another child ?

Thanks in advance

Anthony

Hi Anthony,

Have checked the register for you and there is only the one birth registered. There are no others with the same reference no.

Am I wrong in thinking twins have date & time of birth on their crets?

I may be wrong but i recall reading somewhere that still births were recorded in a seperate register and not in the births register.
