Trying to find Barrow

I`ve just discovered family with the surname Barrow. My GG Grandad was Abraham Jones b.1849 married a Margaret Barrow on the 14th September 1872. Margaret was born in 1848 both were born in the Manchester area. When they were married Margaret was living off Oldham Rd. Her father was John Barrow and he was an Iron Moulder at the time of their marriage. From the 1871 census i discovered that Margaret was living at home with her parents, John and Mary and her brothers and sisters, William, Robert, Sarah Jane and Mary Ann. Margaret was working as a Loom Weaver. Would love to hear from anybody with any info.According to the 1871 census it was recorded that Margarets mother was born in Wales and John her father born in St. Helens, Lancashire. I have`nt yet discovered the maiden name of Margarets mother. All of the children were born in Manchester. |
