Charles Ball b. 1887/88 in Stanley, Wakefield. Yorks. Died: 28th July, 1917 Theatre of War, France & Flanders. Buried in Mont Huon Military Cematery, LeTreport. Seine, France. Parents were: John and Mercy Ball. His wife was Jemima Ball (maiden name Kaye) She died in 1929 in Wakefield. They had one daugher: Elsie Ball b. 13.3.1913 His wife went on to re-marry twice more; firstly to a (Bill or William?) Summerscales, they had two children - Lucy and William. Some relatives of this Summerscales were Edwin and Elsie Summerscales After he died, she went on to marry George Harvey and had two more children - George and Rose who went to live in Thurnscoe. Anyone have any information on any of these names, please contact me. Charles Ball was my Great Grandfather. Am desperately trying to piece together what I can of the family. Any help most gratefully accepted and appreciated. Anne Brignall |
