My last hope to trace Juliette I'm hoping someone will recognise her from the little I know of her. Annie Blake had a sister Mary born in 1914 Iv'e no idea who she married but she had 1 daughter Cheryl. Cheryl married and had 1 daughter Juliette.Sadly Cheryl died when Juliette was 4. Juliette was very close to Annie and called her nan. I only met Juliette once at her nans funeral. I often think about her and I would love to trace her as I am searching our family tree.

You would need to search the full listings quarter by quarter - Ancestry or somewhere - to find all the Mary Blake marriages.

You would then need to search by possible spouse names until you find Cheryl's birth.

Then the process would need to be repeated to find Cheryl's husband and Juliette's birth.

Long haul.

If you have the date of your nan's funeral maybe there was a report in the local paper at the time? Bit of a longshot but could be worth a look.

Have you thought of purchasing the death certificate for Annie? You could then trace the person named as the informant, hopefully a family member

Saul thanks Juliette was her only living relative so it would be her. Miracles do happen at GU.

O.K. - Lets try to get you some info !!

Firstly we need to clarify:

You say:

"Annie Blake had a sister Mary born 1914"
- Was Blake their maiden name? - what area ?

Cheryl married and had a daughter Juliette - roughly when? (If we know this we can try to trace Cheryl's death as she died when Juliette was 4)?

Was it Mary or Annie who married and had a daughter Cheryl?

When are where was Juliett's nan's funeral and which one was her nan?

Where'ish did they live?

hello Dea

I'm going to buy Annies death cert.as Juliette was her only relative she probably informed her death. I should have thought of this myself once again I went 'brain dead'.
I'm going to go down this route and hopefully come up with info I need.
If this doesn't work I'll be back.
Thanks so much
Pat

O.K., but you have lots of clues to follow - we just need to know what they are if we are to help.

Best of luck - If it doesn't work, come back to us.

Hi Dea

Sorry didn't make myself clear.I'm not asking for anymore help at mo. Mayb someone will recognise Juliette. - a long stab in dark- I haven't got anymore info. I don't know who Mary married and I haven't been able to find it. Iv'e spent hours looking at marriages of Mary Blakes but I don't even know where she married. The family originally came from Stanley Co.Durham but moved south in the 30's. without Marys marriage I can't look for Cheryls birth or her marriage. For all I know christian names I haven't got any surnames. I'm hoping Annies death cert. will help. Thanks Pat

Hello everyone who helped me I wrote to Juliette over a week ago but no response. Sadly I can only assume she's not interested in her maternal grandmothers side of the family.
Its sad but I have decided to send her a Christmas card anyway.

Thanks for all your help and support.
