Lesley, I don't think there's any reason to think these two families are connected - ? |

In my family tree I have a Olive May Hudson who married Fredrick Edward Speechly about 1901-1905, then Fredrick Edward Speechly remarried to Phyllis Rebecca Hillier. I think it was on her birthday in 1921, Bombay India. Can you shed any light on this family, as it would be a great help and then I can finish my family tree. Olive May Hudson could have come from England. |

Ah, I was overtaken by events. Seems my original thought was closer to the facts, likely. ;) |

I suspect his birth surname was Aitken, and Hudson the name of a stepfather, or his real father's name, if he was registered under his mother's name. Or something of that variety. |

I am trying to find the parents and family members of my greatgrandfather, James Aitken Hudson, born 1864 in West Hartlepool. We have searched through censuses and records, but have only his wife, Jane Henderson, and 8 children. Can anyone help? |
