Hi, I am trying to trace any details of my family who were originally called Alsherson but who changed their name to Alexander sometime in the early 1800's. They were born in Wick, Caithness. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim Alexander |

My name is Carol and I am descended from Isabella Alexander b 1852 who married James Coghill (they were may great maternal grandparents) Isabellas father was James Alexander b 1811 his father was William Alsherson b 1769 his father William Alsherson b 1740 his father was Donald Alsherson b 1703 and finally (as far back as I have been) his father William Alsherson b 1678 he married Margaret Bruce Jan 1703/04 in Wick Parish, Caithness. |
