Can anybody help in the finding of Information For A Nellie Adams
for before 1913 and after 1913 inc Parents names and D.O.Bs
Nellie was born in 265 Milton road Portsmouth England.
she was also a Housemaid (domestic) at 2 king street Portsea,
Please if anybody can track this Lady down and supply me with any of the above Information I would be very Gratefull..Peter.

Hi I have no Idea when she was born this is a dead end on my searches of the national Archives but this is the name on her Daughters bith certificate in 1913.

Do you mean she was living at Milton Road at the time of her daughter's birth?

If her daughter was illegitimate, then it will be very difficult to find the right Nellie Adams as she could have been born anywhere. At that time girls were often disowned by their parents for getting pregnant and moved away from where they were brought up to have the child. My own grandmother was in the same situation in 1911.

There are 99 Nellie Adams on the 1901 census born between 1886 and 1896, which I guess would be about when she was born.

Hi Yes that is the Information on her daughters birth Certificate! But the information on Nellie is very scarce and as this a direct Ancester All the info I can get would help me on the next step to her side of the family tree..Peter

Hi : I know the hardship in the period mentiond and the difficulty in tracking any Father but I did get a Bith certificate for the daughter but no Info on Nellie as to age or Parents mentioned..is there any way of tracking Nellie on the census for 1901 as to members of the household on that Property.. Hi: yes Nellie was at that Address on the time of giving birth to her Daughter,(18th April 1913) but no info on age for Nellie or Parents..Peter

The Name of Nellie Adams was the Name on the Birth Certificate Issude for her Daughter 1n 1913 (18th April) In Portsmouth.England

You can do address searches on 1901 - I can't do them on Ancestry or I would but it might be worth your while putting up a fresh request for an address look up for that address - it's a bit of a longshot but at least you would know. (Please also add Nellie's name - and ask for the reference numbers. It will be useful then for you/someone to be able to scroll backwards and forwards a few pages in case the house numbers changed.)

According to her Daughters Birth Certificate Nellie Was living at that Address on the 11th April 1913.
She was Registered on the 18th April 1913 at that Address. thats it thats all there is..

Can anybody help in the Discovery of Nellie Adams
A date of Birth would be all that is needed to track her on the census....
Please don't give up we know it is not easy but keep going..

Hi everybody: I dont know if this is the Nellie I have been searching for but in the searches I have carried out so far a Nellie Rose Adams of Portsea Hampshire Born 1896 was the only near hit I could Dicover in the 1901 DMB full search that even closley
Resembles who We are looking for.
The Problem now Starts! is this the Nellie and how do I discover who her Parents where and if any Brothers/Sister there where.
I also did a Address search on Both Addresses But turned up Blank as No Results Kept comming up,
I an still looking for help from somebody who has the Abillity to solve this..

Was she alone in that House or was her Family in there too?

I am struggling to get any Information on a Relative that live in Portsmouth Hampshire in 1913 at 265 Milton Road Portsmouth . The Person I lookin for is a Nellie Adams.

I don't think you will find a website that will give you information about who is at an address in 1913. The only thing you could do is check with Portsmouth library about the electoral registers for this address but in 1913 there weren't that many people eligible to vote and certainly not women at that time.

Yes: the full names of Nellie Adams Child was Eileen Madge.
This Information leads me to believe that a big headache is about to be take shape.

Hi Friends: I am back again to ask you for help in the tracking of Nellie Adams.
This is proving a hard case to crack as I have no place of Birth But I have now discoverd that Nellie was born in 1893, & had a twin Sister Daisy, she was Possibly born in Wickford Essex but this is not clear yet??
After trawling through a lot of census and estimating her age at giving Birth to her Daughter Eileen Madge in 1913 as 16-21
yrs of age 1t puts her D.O.B as 1893.
She was residing at 265 Milton Road, Portsmouth at time of Registering her Daughters Birth (Have Certificate) and worked as a Domestic in 2 Kings Street, Portsea at the time, this turns out to be a Workhouse(Milton Road) that she entered in 23/1/1913, then went into Hospital to give birth & was re-admitted. on 24/5/1913.
can anybody please help in tracking her Family for me>

She gave her Daughter away and no Father was Registered.
I also do not know of any Middle names for Nellie
as the Birth Certificate only says Nellie Adams.
If anybody can spread some Light on this or find some snipit of Information Please forward the Info
