Any chance of trying to find a David Rogie who was a ploughman at Skene Aberdeenshire in 1893[ no other details for him at all] and for a James Ross who died before 1914 and was a Shepherd. Got James detials from his illigimate daughter's marriage certificate.
Both men are the fathers of illigimate children of my great grandmother[ quite a woman our Jane!!]

Just thought that maybe 1901 or 1911 census records for the Skene area may give me some clues about them.

Any info much appreciated.

Hi

Just wondered if you had free time if you could help with finding a Jane Davidson living with a Henry Thompson in 1911. I think they may have been living Skene Aberdeenshire area.

Thanks

Oh my! That's marvellous and so much detail - thank you so much, it was very kind of you :D

Can I just ask which site you had to register with to find all of this? I have looked at several but there are so many that require payment that it's hard to decide which one will be of most use.

Regards Fran

That was from Ancestry.co.uk which can be a bit pricey, but you could always try the free 14 day trial first.
