Not just any social worker will be allowed to look at your files. You will have one allocated ( I guess from The childrens services section, not certain on that point) who will be able to find out the things you want to know. he or she will always be there for you,and help you |

yea ok i understand what your saying dea, and i'm not angry with my adoptive parents its just hard to get because you arn't in my possition. thankyou for the advise though. |

i am going threw the right channels i have my friends mum looking with me and shes a youth support worker and her friend is a social worker that is hopefully going to help me aswell |

i'm 16, and i havnt had a social worker for many years now, and yea iv sent off for a full birth certificate so hopefully that shoul be useful to me |

well i dont live with my adoptive parents anymore and i dont speak to them. i have my birth certificate but it dont have and of my parents names on, just says where i were born. |

Jody- you need your birth cert this will name your parents , and give your mothers maiden name if she and your father were married. |
