Hi I,m Barbara and I'm trying to trace any relatives or information regarding John Raffo he was born in Genoa Italy in 1874 the son of John and Mary Raffo,he had two brothers Anthony born in 1871 married Maria Raggio in 1892 with issue and Louis born in 1889 no information.John married Annie maria Smith in 1884 and they lived at 69 Spear St Ancoats with her Father James Smith. They had several children including Alice Annie Elizabeth Jane Rosina John and Frances. I believe John changed his surname to Smith and was in the Australian Army in WW11. John Snr died prior to 1936. Frances Raffo was my husbands mother and I am researching our Family Tree so would love to hear from any one who can help. Many Thanks Barbara.

I tried an email address from another site. It's a demon.co.uk email,if that's the email u still have it doesn't work,email doesn't exist anymore.

Neither Erika or I, or anyone you may come across on this site are employed by Genes. So none of us has access to Barbara’s personal email - hence the use of pm’s.

Barbara’s subs are still being taken so hopefully Genes has an up to date email address. But she may have forgotten that she has a rolling membership. You will be able to see if she has opened her message from Genes, once you have sent it, by looking at you contacts. You will fond that under ‘messages’ at the top. A coloured envelope shows it has not been opened.

On my 2 sent messages one has a green envelope one has no envelope

'No envelope' means the message has been opened..................it may take a while for her to respond, or she may, of course, choose not to.

I've had no response sadly despite 2 messages being read,I only have 2weeks membership left
