pulling me hair out!! :-DCant find Ethel May Wheat birth !Her death i can find,Ethel May Wheat died in newcastle under Lyme in march 1899 6b /37.We know the mothers name was Elizabeth but no surmame???can anyone help pleeze :-D

Any chance of telling us how old she was when she died?

And whether Wheat was her maiden.........or married.....name, please?

How do you 'know' that her mother's name was Elizabeth?

And if you're certain of that, have you looked for a marriage between Wheat and Elizabeth in the area?

As the OP refers only to the GRO refs, I think we can safely assume that the cert has not been purchased

The 1911 census above is for a chap who died in 1943.........no second forename.

Having said that, the ONLY record of the full names (apart from the child's baptism) is the marriage in1884

Obviousy the knowledge of the mother's first name came from the previous threads.............

So why was that 'hidden' by the poster?

Thought I would land a hand here as I knew the area and have some of the surnames in my tree too.

:-|Can't understand why info was hidden

but makes me all too clearly aware why we are asked not to paste about the same family twice, I realise how much good will goes into the look ups
