Mum used to order Fulnana perfume (pronounced full - narn - a) from the local chemist, Mr. Emery. No one sold it and he always had to order it from wherever. This took a few days and I had to collect it.
It was in a jet black container with yellow writing.

Sylvia, I also recall the Sobranie cigarettes and their unique qualities. (I didn't smoke 'em.)
Different colour paper and the cigarettes were also an ellipse shape ... as was the packet in which they were sold. This was / is most unusual and possibly a patent.
I had no idea they were still available.

Price: £145.00
Size: 50ml
Fragrance Category: Floral Oriental

Top Notes: Bergamot, orange neroli
Heart Notes: Geranium, tuberose, ylang ylang
Base Notes: Patchouli, benzoin siam, cedarwood, sandalwood, opoponax, tonka bean, vanilla bourbon

Hindi for "lovely flower". A Bouquet of India's Choicest Flowers.

Originally created in 1891, this scent is a rare marriage of the herb garden with the flower garden, unusual in a feminine fragrance. It paved the way for the ‘oriental’ fragrances that were to follow. It is described as "a fresh, sweet floral composition with aromatic Fougère overtones on a soft, warm, woody base". With a strong bergmot-citrus and herby top note, a heart of rose and orange flower on an oriental sandalwood and patchouli base, the scent comes across very soft, powdery and extremely feminine on the skin.
