Hope somebody may be able to help with this one. Looking for baptism/birth of George Pearce. From Census and a marriage it’s suggested he was born 1844-1847. His father was declared as George Pearce, dockworker. All census records where we can find him, 1881-1911, George Jnr says born Southampton. We know he married twice, his first wife was Kate, no further details known. He ended up in Romford area marrying a second time , in 1910, to a Florence Woods. Hoping his birth can be found, there are a number of possibilities in Southampton City and adjacent locations. Maybe also a marriage, but not sure if he got hitched in Southampton or London Any help gratefully acknowledged.

His birth may not have been registered though

It wasn’t compulsory till 1875

You have already been advised that there may not be a birth record..................until 1875, there were no penalties for not registering.

You could contact the Records Office yourself and ask if they could look for a baptism.
