Hello Dea, I spoke to the daughter of Joyce Jeffs and she confirmed that I have the wrong Smith family. There must have been another George T E Smith born 1929 and living in Hampstead. Maybe he moved to another area - like Hendon or somewhere like that where new post war housing was developing - and married in the area of his bride. I thought the three initials may narrow it down - but not so it seems.

Hello Dea. An old schoolfriend of mine could be the sister in law to Joyce Catherine Smith nee Jeffs. The Janet I spoke to had a father born in a different year.

Could I ask please what connection you have to this family and why you are trying to track them down?

Did Janet Smith give you any 'proof' that the marriage of George to Joyce Jeffs was not the correct one?

Thanks for that. I would be delighted if argaet is she is still alive and even more so if I could track her down. I think the other two must be William JP Smith (1931) and Kathleen Smith (1932)

There are 3 blanked out names for 1939 and also Frank Greasey (or Creasey) 1883 & Oliver Andrews 1887 at the same address in 1939

So how many "blacked out" residents on the 1939 register please?
