Wow, what can I say, but thanks to all of you for the research you have done for me, it will certainly give me something to mull over and put all the pieces together. All intriguing, especially the "changing" of Charlottes name on the census, I am picturing the family dispute and heated arguments! |

He also first wrote Caroline (or ?? Carella) Anderton, then crossed out Caroline, and Charlotte Gertrude was written in, in what looks like a different hand ............... definitley a different pen |

That could well be Henrietta's death, the registration district for Smethwick was Kings Norton, if so she didn't have too long a life after the last census, and all those young children too, but I suppose that was very common then, she was my grandfathers sister so maybe at last I have found out about another family member - thanks. |
